This workshop will focus on Brad’s gilding technique in combination with his unique approach to oil painting. Learn how to incorporate gold or silver leaf in your work, and more about his painting process from beginning to end. This is an observational and interactive class, via Zoom, from Brad’s studio. There will be a combination of demos, talks, and Q&A. You will not be expected to execute your own work during class, but will have the opportunity between classes to experiment.

Open to all levels of artists, but some basic knowledge of oil painting and figurative drawing skill is recommended. Gilding for works on paper, watercolor, and acrylic paintings will be briefly discussed. The majority of the class, however, will be focused on oil-gilding and oil painting.

Recommended Materials List and Zoom Link will be emailed to students at a later date. Classes will be recorded and available to stream for 2 months after the workshop ends, in case students cannot attend the live classes or for their own personal review. Classes can also be downloaded to view in perpetuity for an additional fee.
